Here is a Microsoft Word template I've created for a newspaper. Feel free to use it, change it, or use something of your own. There are also lots of templates online.
Please see the following PowerPoint for some suggestions on your news articles. (Uploaded as a powerpoint file and as a pdf in case one doesn't work.)

The computer lab is on the 4th floor in Building D - Room 407, Computer Lab #5. I will leave a note on the door of room 205 in case you forget and go to the wrong room. You should be finished writing a draft of your newspaper article before we go to the computer lab. You may use the time in the lab to type and format your articles. I will also be checking your topics to make sure they are okay. 10a - Meet in the computer lab for period 3 on Monday and Tuesday (26th and 27th). - Projects are due to my office in E205 by 3:30pm on Thursday, September 29. 10b - Students' Council elections assembly on Friday. - Meet in the computer lab for periods 6 and 7 on Tuesday, September 27. - Projects are due in class on Friday, September 30. 10c - Meet in the computer lab for periods 6 and 7 on Monday, September 26. - Projects are due in class on Wednesday, September 28. Write a letter to your future self. Discuss what you hope to achieve this year at BCA. See the assignment page below for details. Approximately 400 words.
